By the thousands, the hungry show up every day at the doors of community and church-based food agencies. Operation Food Search works in partnership with more than 250 agencies to provide food and household items. These agencies are located in 30 counties in Missouri and Illinois. Any non-profit organization within our service area that provides food free of charge to low income individuals may be eligible for partnership.
General requirements to become an Operation Food Search partner agency include:
• Have a 501(c)(3) status
• Have clean storage and/or meal preparation area
• Have suitable vehicles to transport food
• Agree to serve clients without discriminating on the basis of race, sex, age, color, national origin, religion, sexual preference, veteran status, marital status, disability, medical condition
• Agree to distribute food and household items free of charge to those in need
• Agree not to sell, barter, exchange, transfer or charge a fee for food and household items
• Provide monthly service reports, food receipts and other requested information
